I wish I lived in SoCal so I could see this place in person; my all time favorite record store here in Ohio is a shadow of its former self. Scouring the internet for this kind of a place I stumbled across John and decided not to let distance get in the way of patronizing his fine establishment. I couldn't be more satisfied with how my orders were handled. You know how long it will take to arrive, there is a good selection, and you don't hammered on price. John ships USPS and they get a bad rap but I have never had a problem in 30 some years of mail ordering I want to mention John's Punk Show on Spreaker as well, live Thursday nights and on demand any time. Great job! It's the classic late-night college radio show for the digital age. And you don't have to worry about being a couple thousand miles too far away to pick it up on the old FM tuner. I love coming in here! They always have the coolest key chains, shirts, patches and accessories. They are always getting in new CD's and have really great deals on collectables. They're located right in the middle of Melrose so there's always places to go to and things to do around here as well :) The guys who run the shop are super friendly and cool and make me always want to come back. Headline Records is famous in LA for a reason! Incredible staff, ridiculous collection of vinyl and great merch from some super underground bands (as well as the big names). I stopped in with my fiancé earlier this week and had an amazing experience. Originally went in to look at records. I found a Cramps shirt I've been looking for, for a very long time. (Yellow bad music for bad people with the additional artwork on the back). Got a few more things, patches and a ****crass 7" original pressing*****. Not only did I find stuff I've been wanting... I had an amazing customer service experience as well. The guy at the counter who was helping us was so awesome. He is so knowledgeable about music, it made my experience SO MUCH BETTER!!!! The majority of the time when I look for records the person helping me doesn't know anything about what I'm looking for. If I could give a million stars I would. This place is a punk rock time warp, the T-shirt collection is sick, the hospitality was top notch and friendly! We were visiting from Kansas and my son and I love old school punk and find it difficult to locate stuff in Kansas with out having to order online!
